Job Description

Mailgun is looking for a Team Lead - Account Manager to join as a player coach to help build our install based sales team. This individual will work closely with our CEO in efforts to develop business processes, establish best practices, and build a team that will help meet the needs of our existing customer base. This individual will evangelize Mailgun’s diverse product suite, resulting in an expansion of revenue from Mailgun’s customer base.


  • Managing relationships with accounts with MRR of 4k-50k
  • Conducting QBRs
  • Prospecting into the existing account base for new opportunities
  • Cross selling and upselling
  • Renewing existing accounts
  • Managing a high velocity sales funnel
  • Building and executing account plans
  • Leading a team of 2-3 reps
  • Forecasting
  • Building process and metrics
  • Preparing board presentations


Job Requirements 

  • 5+ years selling technology (SaaS preferred)
  • Experience managing existing accounts (AE with existing accounts, AM, or CSM w/ quota)
  • Proven track record of exceeding quota
  • 2-3 years experience leading/managing teams
  • Experience managing high velocity sales process
  • History of career advancement
  • History of selling to developers preferred 
  • History of building new business processes preferred
